1) ALWAYS HAVE YOUR PLAN IN WRITTEN.
Every successful people born on this world had a habit of making to-do-list. It is very important to make a list of all those things that we have to do in our day. Because when we make a list, it means we are organising ourself according to our work schedule.
Your brain gets a signal to focus, and try to complete all those task that you had written on that list. By making the habit of to-do-list your level of stressed reduced and your productivity will be increased. The most important benefit of making to-do-list is there would be no tension or burden of forgetting any task or work. Your mind will be free and everything would be in written format so, there is nothing to keep in a mind.
When to make a to-do-list?
If you are making a to-do-list then, a very important question arises in our mind is when to make this to-do-list?
Always make a habit of schedule your day a night before. When you plan your day before the day starts it will be easy for you to start taking action on those task that you have planned to do in the night. When you make your to-do-list at night then you will get a better sleep, you will be more organised, less stress and comparatively there will be more efficiency.
Suppose, you won't able to plan your day one day before, that is on night.
Then you can do one thing, when you wake up early in the morning your first and most important work should be is to plan your day. So, that you can run your day effectively.
How to make this to-do-list ?
There are so, many ways to make a to-do-list are ABC system, action/ priority matrix, urgent/important matrix, Pareto system, inventory system. But I m not sharing any complex ways to make your to-do-list.
Simple and easy way to make your to-do-list is ABC system.
Whaever task you had to do in your whole day just bifurcate in 3 categories.
• A task- This task includes list of all those task which are important and urgent. If you don't do this task then it will harm you.
Ex: Mail report to boss.
• B task- B task includes all those task which are not urgent but important.
Ex: wish birthday
Reply to emails
Buy grocery.
• C task- write all those task which are neither important nor urgent but it is in your mind.
Ex: social media
If my A and B task get completed then I will give reward to myself.
2) KEEP SUFFICIENT MARGINS AND BREAKS.
When you are making your plan that is your to-do-list always keep a gap between a task. Don't over planned your day. If you tightly planned your day, and you failed to follow that to-do-list then you will feel demotivated and overstressed. Suppose you don't know how to run and you are running in the marathon then what will be the result?
If your boss is giving some important and urgent task to do then you can complete that task without breaking your schedule. But this would be possible if you are keeping a sufficient gap and breaks.
3) ANALYSE YOURSELF.
Suppose you won't able to follow your to-do-list then, this tip is for you. Before going to sleep review your whole day. Make a day log at night, when you do this you would be able to analyse yourself. When you analyse you would come to know where you had wasted your time? What are things I should avoid to do? Which task is most important and what is the right time to complete that task?
So, when you analyse you would be able to get the answers of those questions which will going to help you to manage your work schedule.
4) STAY MOTIVATED.
Always stay motivated. Motivation plays a very important role. Stick some images of motivational quotes on wall or some pictures of successful people which will help you to boost your confidence. And you will be able to complete your work with enthusiasm.
5) USE TECHNOLOGY.
Your technology is your good slave but, it is your worst master. Use your electronic gadgets or devices when you are needed. Don't waste 2-3 hours just scrolling on your smart phone.
